Newton 90 GSM Cross Laminated Tarp

At 90 GSM, this Cross Laminated Tarp sits in the light-duty tier of Newton’s film range, offering a step up in tensile performance over 70 GSM while remaining easy to fold, transport and deploy by hand across large areas. The cross-laminated construction — HDPE tape layers oriented at right angles and bonded between outer film layers — is what gives the sheet its multidirectional tear resistance, a meaningful advantage over single-axis woven material when covering irregular shapes or edges.

UV stabilization is compounded into the film during manufacture rather than surface-applied, protecting against embrittlement and colour loss through sustained outdoor exposure. Testing follows IS 14611:2016, covering tensile strength at break in both machine and transverse directions, elongation, Elmendorf tear strength, free fall dart impact resistance, and accelerated UV performance after 192 hours of exposure — each backed by batch-wise lab data from accredited testing houses.

Yellow is the standard stock colour at this weight, chosen often for high-visibility agricultural and construction applications; other colours are available for bulk orders on request. Roll width and cut length are customizable to the buyer’s specification.

This grade is commonly specified for horticulture and greenhouse covering, nursery shading support, general agricultural produce protection, and temporary event or camping shelters where low weight and quick deployment matter more than maximum load-bearing strength.
