SAIL’s highest-strength standard rebar grade is also available with corrosion-resistant alloying, for projects that combine heavy structural loads with harsh environmental exposure in the same application. Fe600 HCR completes SAIL’s HCR family alongside the Fe500D and Fe550D corrosion-resistant grades, giving specifiers a full strength range to choose from without stepping outside the HCR product line.

Fe600 HCR retains the 600 MPa minimum yield strength and 660 MPa minimum tensile strength of the standard Fe600 grade, along with its 10% minimum elongation and 1.06 minimum UTS/YS ratio, adding the same copper-chromium protection used across SAIL’s HCR range. This combination suits structural elements that need both maximum load-bearing capacity and long-term resistance to corrosion, situations that arise most often in industrial plants handling corrosive process chemicals, marine and port infrastructure, and underground construction where the concrete cover sees continuous moisture exposure.

Manufactured at SAIL’s Bhilai and IISCO Burnpur plants under IS 1786:2008 Amendment 3, Fe600 HCR carries the same 0.30% carbon ceiling and 0.075% combined sulphur-phosphorus limit as standard Fe600, with corrosion-resistant alloying layered on rather than substituted in place of strength-critical elements. Newton Exports offers this grade in 8mm to 40mm diameters for industrial, marine, and underground construction where both strength and durability are non-negotiable specification requirements, packaged in SAIL’s standard wire-strapped bundles for export shipment.
