Ajrakh Block Print Table Runner

The Ajrakh block print table runner is printed in Ajrakhpur, Kutch, with the same multi-stage resist and mordant process used for traditional Ajrakh shawls. The cloth is printed on both sides in some designs, dyed in indigo and madder, washed in running water and sun-dried between each step, giving deep colour that improves with use.

For runners we lay out the Ajrakh geometry with a printed border along both long edges and a decorative panel at each end, finished with tassels or a narrow hem. Indigo and madder red on black is the classic, while an all-indigo version suits calmer tables. Matching napkins and tea towels come from the same printers.

Where Ajrakh Runners Sell

Runners in Ajrakh print sell through dining and kitchen stores, museum shops, restaurants with a global menu and gift retailers. Ajrakh works beautifully on dark wood and with white crockery. Buyers who already stock our Ajrakh cushions often add runners to create a complete collection. Ajrakh runners also suit coffee tables and sideboards, so the 183 cm length is the more versatile choice for retail.

Export Supply and Freight

Printing happens in Ajrakhpur and stitching in nearby Bhuj, with every runner checked for print clarity, length and end finish. Runners are folded with a belly band, poly-bagged and packed in cartons. We ship the Ajrakh block print table runner via Mundra or Nhava Sheva on ex-factory, FOB, CFR or CIF terms.
