This white weed mat is woven from UV stabilised polypropylene tape in 100, 110 or 120 GSM, either plain white or as a white/black fabric with a white top face and a black underside. Grab tensile runs from 667 N at 100 GSM up to about 800 N at 120 GSM, matching our black woven grades. White greenhouse ground covers commonly reflect around three quarters of incoming light, which lifts light levels on lower leaves and keeps the soil surface cooler than black fabric. Newton Exports weaves it to order in India with marker lines in green, yellow or blue.

Typical Uses for White Ground Cover
Glasshouse and polytunnel floors are the main market: white fabric brightens aisles, helps workers see pests and spills, and reflects light into pot crops and cut flowers. Fruit plantations use it under young trees and berries to cool the root zone in hot climates. Plain white lets a little light through, so where weed pressure is high outdoors we recommend the white/black version, which reflects from the top face and blocks light completely with the black underside.

White fabric is woven in batches to order, so allow production time and confirm colour and line pattern up front. It can share a container with black woven grades, and prices are given ex-factory, FOB Nhava Sheva, CFR or CIF.

Plain white or white/black: which should I order?
Plain white suits indoor greenhouse floors where weeds get little light anyway. For outdoor orchards and berry rows choose white/black, since the black underside stops weeds germinating beneath the reflective top.
Can the grid lines be a different colour from the fabric?
Yes. White fabric is usually woven with green, yellow or blue lines so the grid stays visible. Black fabric can be woven with white lines too, as on our 120 GSM PP Weed Mat.
How long is the quotation valid?
About 15 days. Because white is a made-to-order batch, the validity date and production lead time are both stated on the proforma.
What should we confirm before production?
Plain white or white/black, GSM, width, roll length, line colour and spacing, folding for wide rolls, quantity and discharge port.
