At 120 g/m² ±5%, the 120 GSM PP weed mat is our main professional grade for growers who want a fabric that stays put for several seasons. Indicative grab tensile is about 800 N MD/CD, trapezoidal tear about 350 N and CBR puncture around 2080 N. UV stabilised polypropylene tape is woven into a dense black fabric that lets water and fertigation through. Typical Uses for 120 GSM Weed Control Ground Cover

Fruit and vegetable growers use 120 GSM for orchard rows, berry tunnels, cut flowers and container standing areas. A 15 x 15 cm grid lets crews set plant spacing quickly, and we can weave the grid lines in white instead of green. Rolls of 4.2 m or wider are folded in half for handling and container loading. Full-width unfolded rolls are possible, but fewer rolls fit in each container and very wide unfolded rolls are hard to move by hand.

Ocean freight from Nhava Sheva is quoted separately as rates move every week. Containers can mix 120 GSM with 150 GSM or other widths. Roll count per container is approximate until final loading, especially for folded wide rolls.

Should I go up to the 150 GSM weed mat?

Only if the area takes vehicles, heavy pots or pallets. 150 GSM lifts grab tensile to around 1000 N and CBR to about 2600 N. For crop rows walked by people, 120 GSM is the better value.

Are the rolls on cardboard or PVC cores?

Cardboard (paper) cores as standard, with each roll wrapped in PE film. Wide rolls are folded in half lengthwise unless you ask for flat full-width rolls.

How long is a quotation valid?

Roughly 15 days. The validity date is written on the proforma invoice, and freight to your port is quoted separately because rates change often.

How do we lock in the specification?

Confirm GSM, width, roll length, grid size and line colour, quantity per grade and discharge port. We then send the proforma with the batch TDS for approval.
