Rugs and carpets from India have a long and proud history. Bhadohi and Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh, Jaipur in Rajasthan and Panipat in Haryana together weave a large share of the world’s handmade rugs, from fine hand-knotted wool and silk carpets to simple flat-woven cotton dhurries.

Because the range is so wide, we always begin by asking about use and budget. A hand-knotted carpet can take months on the loom and lasts for generations. A cotton dhurrie is light, washable and affordable. Both have their place.

Made to order

Almost every rug is made to order in your size, colour and design. We share a design file or strike-off for approval before production starts, which helps get colours exactly right.

Colours and design

Weavers can match colours from your swatches or Pantone references. Traditional designs, modern abstracts, stripes and geometrics are all possible.

Ethical sourcing

We work with rug makers who follow fair labour practices, and we can source from manufacturers who hold certifications such as GoodWeave on request. We will always be open about what each maker can provide.

Lead times

Dhurries and tufted rugs typically take six to ten weeks. Hand-knotted carpets take longer depending on size and knot density.

Packing and shipping

Rugs are rolled, wrapped in polythene and hessian, and labelled with size and design. They ship by sea or air. You can choose ex-factory, FOB, CFR or CIF pricing.

Yes. Most rugs are made to order in any size.

What is the difference between tufted and knotted?

Tufted rugs are made with a hand tool and backed; knotted rugs have each knot tied by hand and last much longer.
