A pashmina throw is woven from pashmina, the fine underfleece of Changthangi goats from Ladakh. Kashmiri artisans spin the fibre by hand and weave it on handlooms into a cloth that is very light, very soft and remarkably warm.
Pashmina weaving is an age-old craft of the artisanal communities of Kashmir, with a Geographical Indication tag. We offer plain throws in a contemporary style, and ethnic sozni hand embroidered and kani woven designs in the colours of India. The Indian fabric is pure pashmina or pashmina-silk, often styled with cushions in traditional block prints, and every handicraft throw is woven slowly by hand.
