Marble Inlay Coasters

Marble inlay coasters are cut from white marble and decorated with tiny pieces of lapis, malachite and carnelian set flush into the surface. Felt backing protects table tops, and the cool stone keeps condensation from cold drinks under control.

Pietra dura, or parchinkari, is an age-old craft of the artisanal communities of Agra, the same tradition behind the Taj Mahal. We offer Mughal florals and simple contemporary style geometric inlays. The stones bring the jewel colours of India to a small, giftable format, and every Indian handicraft set carries real hand-inlaid ethnic detail.

Who Buys Inlay Coasters

Museum shops, gift stores and corporate gifting companies buy boxed sets, and luxury hotels place them in suites. They are a top-selling Indian souvenir.

Export Supply and Freight

Sets are boxed in velvet or printed gift boxes with foam inserts. For the marble inlay coasters, we ship from Nhava Sheva on ex-factory, FOB, CFR or CIF terms.

Questions

Do the marble inlay coasters absorb water?

Polished marble resists water; wipe it dry to avoid rings.

Can you make a custom logo in inlay?

Yes, simple logos can be inlaid from 200 sets.

How heavy is a set of marble inlay coasters?

A set of four with its stand weighs roughly 1.5 to 2 kg, so we pack it in a fitted gift box with foam on every side. For e-commerce sellers we can supply a lighter 8 mm version that keeps shipping weight down without losing the inlay detail.
