A Mashru silk cushion cover is made from Mashru cloth, a satin weave from Patan and Mandvi in Gujarat that puts silk on the face and cotton on the reverse. Historically it let people wear the shine of silk while only cotton touched the skin. For cushions, the result is a glossy, almost lacquered surface with a cotton back that grips and wears well.
Mashru is known for vivid warp stripes, often combined with small bands of ikat, in reds, pinks, greens, yellows and deep blue. We offer it as a solid stripe design or as a patchwork of two Mashru designs on the front. Each cover is lined and closed with a zip.

Mashru appeals to retailers who sell colour: Moroccan and maximalist interiors, beach bars, boutique hotels and festive pop-ups.
