Our velvet patchwork cushion cover combines panels of cotton velvet with contrasting fabrics such as handloom cotton, textured weaves and block prints. Pieces are cut, joined by machine and often finished with appliquéd circles or arcs in a second velvet, giving a soft, tactile surface with strong colour blocking.
Patchwork is made in Jaipur and Delhi workshops that are used to cutting small batches with care, so every cover is assembled from fabric that has been matched for pile direction. Designs range from simple two-tone halves to multi-panel grids. The back is plain velvet or cotton with a concealed zip.
