Governed by ASTM A-416-2006 Grade-1860 / IS-14268:1995 Class II, the mechanical envelope spans a bright or galvanized core strand coated with a corrosion-resistant, high-temperature grease or wax filling the interstices between wires, then co-extruded with a UV-stabilised polyethylene or polypropylene sheath 0.75–1.25 mm thick and a grease loading of 30–35 g per metre.
